Fans of "The Bachelor" were shocked when Arie Luyendyk, Jr. dumped his fiance Becca K. and then proposed to the show's runner-up, Lauren B., earlier this week.

Rep. Drew Christensen, a Congressman from Becca's home state of Minnesota, isn't taking this betrayal lightly. He took to Twitter after the episode aired on Monday and promised to introduce legislation that would ban Arie from the state if the tweet generated 1,000 retweets. Minnesota residents and other Becca fans delievered, and the tweet ended up getting over 13,000 retweets.

On Wednesday, the Congressman made good on his promise and shared the bill to ban Arie Luyendyk, Jr. from the state of Minnesota.

He also pointed out how great it is that social media has allowed him to connect with constituents.

We'll see if the bill actually makes it to the floor for a vote...
