The final round of the DC’s Funniest College Competition hit the DC Improv stage last night with our very own funny-guy Darik Kristofer serving on the panel of judges.  Finalists from DC Metro Area colleges like George Mason University and the University of Maryland competed for a chance to headline a show at the DC Improv and a years supply of delicious Pop Chips! Coincidentally, THIS happened today right down the street from 94.7 Fresh FM here in Lanham at Jerry’s Seafood.

Carrie Underwood Style Gallery

It is a tradition ranging back to the 80s, that involves the players not shaving until their team is knocked out of the playoffs or wins the Stanley Cup, and it looks like Carrie might be taking part in the tradition.

Carrie told People Magazine that she is “not looking forward to the playoff beard.” So, before Mike started she told him that he needs to shave close. “He always looks good with a little stubble, but it’s probably going to get out of hand soon,” she said.

And what is Carrie doing to get in on the tradition?

“I’m going to stop shaving, too,” she said. “Just kidding!”

With her upcoming album promotion and fall tour, who knows what could happen?

Even though she might not be at every game, Carrie still makes it a priority to see her husband play. And when she can’t watch, she has to listen to the games on the radio. “That’s horrible. But I’ve gotta cheer him on even if I’m just listening,” she said.

With playoffs and her new album, Blown Away being released on May 1st, Carrie is one busy lady.

With gossip mags reporting that Levine was blindsided by the break up earlier this month, it doesn’t seem possible that he could have written it as an ode to their now-defunct relationship but the tie-in publicity couldn’t come at a more opportune time for Maroon 5.

“Payphone” will be the lead single off the band’s forthcoming album, Overexposed. Marron 5 posted a teaser on YouTube for the album near the end of March, featuring a shot of “Payphone” featured player Wiz Khalifa in the studio.

The band will debut the song on Monday night’s episode of The Voice.

One Direction Today Show Rockefeller… One Direction appeared on an Australian TV morning show last week.  While on the show the band members were given toast with Australian’s famous Vegemite spread.  Singer Niall Horan wasn’t impressed and abandoned the toast after just one bite.

Normally you’d just throw the toast away, right?  Not when the lips of a member of the extremely popular boy band One Direction have touched it!  The show decided to list the toast on eBay to raise money for charity and the bids took off.  The opening bid of 99 cents quickly jumped to $4500 and then climbed to $100,000!
