Drake introduced Eminem to an already elated crowd this evening at the sold out show at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.
But the introduction came after the Detroit hero surprised the audience by rising from a trap door on the stage. The two immediately launched into Drake’s song, “Forever.”
After the tune ended, Eminem beckoned the crowd to applaud for Drake, who in turn professed his admiration for the Motor City hero saying, “Detroit, make some noise for the greatest rapper to ever get on the motherf—–g microphone.” Drake then proceeded to bow to his idol.

According the paper, Drake hinted earlier in the show that this would be a special show. Drake hyped the audience saying, “Do you think we’ll be able to look back and say, ‘Do you remember that one night in Detroit?'”
After the performance, Drake once again sang Eminem’s praises saying, “Detroit, that’s what you call a hometown hero.”
