Stephen Colbert got his laughs in at the Republican National Convention before it even began.

Dressed as Caesar Flickerman, his “Hunger Games” alter ego, the “Late Show” host taped a bit yesterday on the RNC stage seemingly for his “Hungry for Power Games” series.

“[Trump] has formed an alliance with Indiana Governor Mike Pence,” he started, before fakingĀ a snooze. “Sorry, I blacked out there for a moment. It is my honor to hereby launch and begin the 2016 Republican National Hungry for Power Games!”

As a security guard stepped in to usher the comedian off the stage, Colbert said, “Look, I know I’m not supposed to be up here, but to be honest, neither is Donald Trump!”
