Getting started is always the hardest part, especially when it’s something as big as getting in shape. So the first step was just to lace up my running shoes. (I didn’t really have to worry about getting on my workout gear, because we all know I live in yoga pants.)

Today was my first Fit Club class with Bianca, who is one of the most motivating women I have ever met! She is a little power house of energy, but I quickly learned the bigger her beautiful smile, the harder I would be working.

The class is inspired by Jillian Michael’s Body Shred and although it’s just 45 minutes: 15 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of strength training and cardio, it’s a real challenge. Taking this class was honestly the first effort I’ve made to get fit in the last six months, so I was completely out of breath 10 minutes in, and my muscles were screaming, but Bianca knew just how to modify every exercise so that it worked for my body. I can’t tell you the sense of satisfaction I had when I finished!
