94.7 Fresh FM and Tysons Corner Center present the 94.7 Fresh Artist Concert Series, launched by Intelsat.

For six weeks, we will be providing you with free concerts at the new elevated plaza at Tysons Corner Center.

These free shows are open to all ages and to the public every Friday, starting July 25 through Labor Day. Most concerts will begin between 7 and 9 p.m. Wristbands are required for entry (see bottom for info).

With the new Silver Line on the Metro, it’s easier than ever to get to Tysons Corner Center to join your favorite 94.7 Fresh FM personality for a night of live music with national acts.

July 25: Alex & Sierra

Alex & Sierra are winners from the third season of “The X Factor USA.” Since the win, the duo has released their debut single “Scarecrow,” selling 30,000 copies in its first week and soon announced the release of their album It’s About Us. Fans can preorder their debut album now. Join Tommy McFly starting at 6 pm.

oh honey2 The Lineup is Set for the 94.7 Fresh Artist Concert Series

Aug. 1: Oh Honey

This New York City band was recently signed to Atlantic Records and has been making waves on radio and on tour with the release of their debut EP With Love. Their sweet name is an ode to the many rooftop honey farms throughout Williamsburg. Keep a look out with this duo – they may come out with their own brand of honey one day.

Aug. 8: Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling is one of the biggest artist development breakthrough stories in recent years. A classically trained violinist from Gilbert, Ariz., Lindsey has entered a futurist world of electronic big beats and animation, leaping through the music industry with over half a billion views on YouTube, Billboard chart-topping hits and sold out tours worldwide. On April 29, 2014 Lindsey released her new album Shatter Me, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, her highest charting album to date.

Aug. 15: Better Than Ezra

Better Than Ezra have been selling out venues across the country since forming at Louisiana State University in 1988 where the band started touring on the Southern college circuit. They quickly became a staple in the ‘90s pop/rock scene with their hits “Good,” “Desperately Wanting,” and “At the Stars.” In 2001, Better Than Ezra released the critically acclaimed Closer, followed by Before the Robots in 2005. The latter featured the hit “Juicy,” licensed by several commercials and brands, was also featured in the promotional advertisements for the popular ABC television series Desperate Housewives. Better Than Ezra will release their eighth studio album in 2014.

OPENING: Stewart Lewis

Stewart Lewis’ soulful blend of pop and folk has been featured on many TV shows including Ghost Whisperer, Dawson’s Creek, Party of Five, and MTV’s Laguna Beach, as well as the feature films A Four Letter Word, Just Friends, and Firehouse Dog . Aug. 22: Andy Grammer

With Andy Grammer’s 2011 self-titled debut album, he became the first male pop star in a decade, since John Mayer in 2002, to reach the Top 10 at Adult Pop Radio on his first two singles, “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me,” certified Platinum and Gold respectively, selling more than 1.5 million downloads combined. Now, he’s back on the scene with his new album Back Home, with a lead single of the same name that blazed up the charts.

Aug. 29: Jacquie Lee

Jacquie Lee was the runner-up for season 5 of NBC’s singing competitiong “The Voice” and skyrocketed to fan favorite during the duration of the show. Soon after the show wrapped, Lee was signed to a major label and released her debut single “Broken Ones.” She wowed audiences covering everyone on “The Voice” from Amy Winehouse to Christina Aguilera and even U2.

PLEASE NOTE: Plaza capacity for concerts is 1,500 people maximum. Attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must obtain a concert wristband prior to attending the concert. Wristbands will become available each Friday morning starting at 10am at the concierge desk on level one outside of Macy’s and Starbucks. They will be available, at no charge, for pick up from 10 a.m.to 6 p.m. From 6 p.m. on, they will be available, while supplies last, at the Plaza doors on level 2 across from Microsoft. No concert entry is admitted without a wristband.
