Tommy, Kelly and I share a lot together: time, stories, families… or so I thought.

I noticed a few weeks ago Kelly’s mom and I were not connected on Facebook, so I sent her a friend request.

After a few weeks of sitting in friend purgatory, I decided to try again. I cancelled the request and sent another one, which I think is the lowest form of friend groveling.  But, since she’s part of our radio family, I just figured she was a little confused.

What I thought to be an oversight turned out to be so much more. This was a deliberate friend denial.

I know you can’t read too much into relationships on Facebook, but what do you do when someone you considered a friend denies your friendship on a social platform?

We called her to find out why I was sent into friend exile.  Here’s what happened:
