Happy Thirsty Thursday, D.C.! You know it’s spring  when Jackson 20 kicks off their “yappy hours.”  They are an institution in Old Town where you can swing by Hotel Monoco for happy hour and bring your pup.  But since this is the first one they are kicking it up an notch and donating 15 percent of tonights proceeds to the animal organization, P.A.L.

Last night on “American Idol” the top eight sang for their lives.  This time, they had to regress back to their audition songs.  But unfortunately, someone is going home tonight. On the plus side, Daughtry is returning to perform. That’s on Fox at 8 p.m. tonight.

Keep your eyes peeled in June for one of our own.  David Guas, the face behind Bayou Bakery in Arlington, is getting his cooking competition show on the Travel Channel.  Now that he’s a regular on the Today show, the Travel Channel producers saw him and handed him his own television show.  It’s called “American Grilled” and pits people against each other to grill the best for a $10,000 prize.
