Last night the on the Kennedy Center Honors Red Carpet we caught up with movie and TV leading lady Kathy Bates.

She dished on her slippery experience on Pennsylvania Avenue and her chat with President Barack Obama. Bates, who has been a staunch supporter of the president, told us that she hopes Obama doesn’t watch her work on “American Horror Story.”

While making her way into the star-studded show honoring the work of Martina Arroyo, Herbie Hancock, Billy Joel, Carlos Santana, and Shirley Maclaine, Kathy joked about which show the Obamas should be tuning into instead of her own.  She could not have been more gracious and fun to share a moment with.

The Kennedy Center Honors airs December 29 on CBS.
